Cape Kamui is located in the Shakotan peninsula, East of Otaru. The two hours drive from Sapporo offers some breathtaking views of the coast. Once there, you will be greeted with a a large parking area, one restaurant, a few vending machines (this is Japan after all) and some restrooms – which may come handy after a long drive. You cannot miss the starting point of the path and walking to the end takes about 15min. Be careful with the weather though, it can be extremely windy.
A cute cow from Hokkaido. I was born in Normandy and spent ~20 years of my life there. Many aspects of Hokkaido reminds me of Normandy. For instance, this cow. Funny to see my kids being scared, complaining about the smell. They need to get out of the city more often!
Lunch date with the Canon R6 and an RF 50mm f/1.2L ! I used to own the EF version. Loved the colors and bokeh but using it was quite a pain : it was so hard to focus. This new RF version is a huge improvement: it is so sharp, even fully open. And the bokeh, so creamy ! Love it.
According to the press, we finalized 5G last week, so it was time to drink :D
Bringing the 90mm/f2 for a spin during lunch around the Tokyo Daijingu shrine.
