Samye Monastery Pictures : built by King Trisong Detsen in the 8th century, with the help of Padmasambhava and Santarakshita, the two renowed Indian masters, Samye is the first Tibetan monastery with the Buddha, the Dharma and the Shanga. It was designed and created in the shape of the universe from the Buddhist viewpoint with the characteristics of the Han, Tibetan and Indian architecture. Below is the list of the photos and pictures I took in the Samye Monastery. You can use these photos as a guide to Samye. All photos taken with a Canon EOS 300D (for more information on the material I have been using, follow the link «Lenses» below). At the bottom of the page you can also find a world map showing where Samye is. Finally at the top of the page you can find a link to the conditions for using the photos and pictures for free on benoa.net and a link to my photo blog. Bon Voyage!
