Potala Palace Pictures : the monastery-like palace was the religious and political center of old Tibet and the winter palace of Dalai Lamas. With 13 stories, the palace (Budala Gong) is more than 117 meters in height and 360 in width, occupying a building space of 90 000 square meters including living quarters, temples, funerals stupas and monk dormitories. Potala is composed of White Palace and Red palace. The former is for secular use while the later is for religious. Below is the list of the photos and pictures I took in the Potala Palace. You can use these photos as a guide to Potala Palace. All photos taken with a Canon EOS 300D (for more information on the material I have been using, follow the link «Lenses» below). At the bottom of the page you can also find a world map showing where the Potala Palace is. Finally at the top of the page you can find a link to the conditions for using the photos and pictures for free on benoa.net and a link to my photo blog. Bon Voyage!
