Kyoto
: capital of Japan for more than a thousand years, Kyoto is in many
ways the cradle of Japanese culture. Luckily it is the only major
Japanese city that was spared from the bombs of World War II (it was even a candidate for the drop of the Atomic Bomb). Kyoto
has a lot to offer to the travellers: more than sixteen hundred
temples and several hundred shrines! Today Kyoto is Japan's seventh-largest
city with a population of about 1 1/2 million people. Below is the list of the photos and pictures I took in Kyoto. You can use these photos as a guide to Kyoto and see some pictures of : Kiyomizu, Kinkakuji,
Ryoanji, Ginkakuji, Tofukuji, Sanjusangendo, Gion, Kyoto Gosho (imperial
palace)... All photos taken with a Canon EOS 300D (for more information on the material I have been using, follow the link «Lenses» below). At the bottom of the page you can also find a world map showing where Kyoto is. Finally at the top of the page you can find a link to the conditions for using the photos and pictures for free on benoa.net and a link to my photo blog. Bon Voyage!
