Reykjavik Pictures : worlds most northerly capital. Founded in 874 by a norwegian Viking called Ingólfur Arnarson who named the place Reykjavik (Smokey Bay) after the steam rising from the hot springs. Below is the list of the photos and pictures I took in Reykjavik. You can use these photos as a guide to Reykjavik and see some pictures of : panoramic view from the Pearl, Johannes S. Kjarval work at the Kjarvalsstadir museum, Asmundur Sveinsson Art Museum, statue of Leifr Eiricsson, Hallgrimskirkja Church... All photos taken with a Canon EOS 300D (for more information on the material I have been using, follow the link «Lenses» below). At the bottom of the page you can also find a world map showing where Reykjavik is. Finally at the top of the page you can find a link to the conditions for using the photos and pictures for free on benoa.net and a link to my photo blog. Bon Voyage!
