Pictures of China

China Pictures : one of the essential destinations for anyone who likes travelling. China is a motherland of cultures, language, art, literature, religions, and... of course cooking. Choose in the gallery below a place to see the photos and pictures I took in China. You can use these photos as a guide to China and see some pictures of Beijing, the Great Wall, Hong Kong, Macau, Miyun, Shanghai, Tianjin and Tibet. Most photos taken with a Canon EOS 300D (for more information on the material I have been using, follow the link «Lenses» below). 	Beijing : with more than 13 millions inhabitants, Beijing is a capital worth visiting for its long avenues, lovely hutongs, temples, monuments, nice restaurants and... traffic jams. Click the picture to see my guide in photos of Beijing.
	ChuanDiXia : with 70 Hutong from the Ming Dynasty, the 400 years old village of ChuanDiXia is like an outdoor museum where you can even spend a night. Click the picture to see my guide in photos of ChuanDiXia.
	Datong : located in the northern part of the Shanxi Province (400km from Beijing), and once served as capital during the North Wei Dynasty, Datong offers many sites worth visiting. Click the picture to see my guide in photos of Datong.
	Great Wall : surely China's most famous feature. North of Beijing, in the Huai Rou County there is a stretch of the Great Wall in excellent conditions, away from the heavily touristed areas. Click the picture to see my guide in photos of the Great Wall.
	Hong Kong : spiced with history and modernity, post-colonial Hong Kong remains an exceptional fusion of East and West. Its transport network is efficient, the shopping centres are revered and the food excellent. Click the picture to see my guide in photos of Hong Kong.
	LongQingXia : section of river winding through towering rocks, the beautiful natural sight LongQingXia bares nicknames of Small Guilin and Small Three Gorges, and is famous for its ice sculptures during winter. Click the picture to see my guide in photos of LongQingQia.
	Macau : the oldest European settlement in Asia, Macau displays a brilliant contrast when compared to Hong Kong. Coming from Hong Kong to Macau is like travelling from London to Lisbon. Click the picture to see my guide in photos of Macau.
