Two hours mandatory lecture to renew one's driving license. Doesn't matter if your japanese is not good enough (like myself), or if you sleep through it (like a couple of guys around me), all you have to do is sit!

In Japan, you need to renew your driver's license every 3 to 5 years: no renewal without passing an eye test.

For once that I'm in the same time zone as the Olympics, I can't even watch the events I'm interested in. NHK doesn't care too much about the events where no Japanese athletes are involved while live internet broadcast are not accessible outside of the country of origin (this screenshot is from France, but the same applies to e.g. BBC). This is just about money and it really sucks !
PS: I have already missed synchronised diving :-(
In one day she can easily eat more than 60 dishes (enough to feed 20 people)... And she's quite skinny! She has to poo six times a day though ;-)
80mm poured over Shinjuku in a few minutes! Sadly 5 workers fixing a manhole were washed away not too far from here.
